This conversation has been had in the US but I can see that it’s also starting in the UK. This situation is the reason why I abandoned a promising academic career and emigrated out of Australia and have no plans to return there. A shortage of men on the tango scene, women dancing together at milongas, etc., often signals these sorts of attitudes in that society. But women are so convinced by all the societal brainwashing that they’re always the victims that they’re blind to the obvious, namely, that if you treat men like taxi dancers (or worse) they won’t hang around.
