“But people here like it”
Apologist of consumerism of studio social dancing
I talk about the neuroscience of cultural preference and why different sorts of people are attracted to different sorts of cultural products, like classical music and jazz vs. rock, pop and hip-hop, or Argentine salon style tango vs. social tango milonguero/tango del centro. I look at this from the prism of neuro-linguistics, the theory which seeks to explain why people succeed or fail to acquire a second language in terms of social and genetic factors.
